Our wines
At Casa Arragotti, our wines are shaped by hand, time, and terroir. Discover our bold, oak-aged Barbera d’Asti Superiore DOCG and the refined, expressive Piemonte Pinot Nero DOC — each born from a single grape, a single plot, and a single vintage.
Barbera d’Asti Superiore DOCG
Barbera is a red Italian wine grape variety that, as of 2000, is the third most-planted red grape variety in Italy (after Sangiovese and Montepulciano). It produces good yields and is known for deep colour, full body, low tannins and high levels of acidity.
Our Barbera is a robust and powerful red wine. It can be enjoyed immediately after bottling, which we do 2 years after harvesting, but can also be stored for up to 5 years.
DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita) is a guarantee that the wines are made according to a certain concept, following strict rules regarding alcohol, colour, blend and more.
Superiore means that the wine has been aged in oak barrels for at least 6 months.
Piemonte Pinot Nero DOC
Pinot Noir is made in many different styles, but it generally has a medium body, light flavours, low acidity, and medium to low tannins. The red berries have thin skins, which makes the grape difficult to cultivate. It thrives in chalky clay soils but is known for expressing terroir in the final wine.
Our Pinot Nero is lighter than our Barbera, but it has been aged in oak and is therefore not as light as traditional French Pinot Noir.
DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata ) is the highest guarantee level you can reach for the Piemonte Pinot Nero and it means that the wines are made according to a certain concept, following strict rules regarding alcohol, colour, blend and more.

From our customers
“Bright, balanced, built to grow”
Clean, pleasantly fruity and in a positive way simple aroma. 2022 was a warm and dry vintage in Piedmont and many wines are quite drinkable when young. However, this wine will develop and improve for at least a few more years. Elegant.
“Excellent quality, perfect with roast”
Excellent quality wine typical of the region in my opinion. I made a deer roast and it worked excellently, stylishly kicky, but not over. Quite enjoyable, even in 2022. If more can be ordered directly, I am interested in getting it. Thanks and greetings to the winemakers!
“Surprisingly Good — 9.3/10, Yes!”
Moderate. Slightly soft, a little bitterness, a good aftertaste/feeling that is quite strong. I can’t identify the berry notes. Maybe blueberry. Less sweet than my normal pun. This is perfectly fine 9.3 / 10. Summary: yes!
